Humans are a race native to Earth. The majority of which think they are the dominant species on this planet as well as possibly "alone" in the universe.
A few, such as wizards and witches, have the rare ability to wield magic. Some races, such as Harpies, Dragons, and Mermaids, appear to be half-human, although if true or not is debatable. Some races, like Elves, so closely resemble humans as to be able to live and work openly among humans in the non-magical world. It is notable that many magical creatures, such as Dragons and Nix, either purposefully or as a matter of necessity developed the ability to camouflage themselves as humans.
Occasionally (while they may not be aware that they're actually marrying a magical creature), humans and magical creatures fall in love, marry, and possibly have children; Jonathan, Susan, and Jake Long are examples of each.
