Summary[]

Plot[]

122 - Grandpa recieves candy

Grandpa receives candy from a homeowner.

Councilor Andam, Councilor Kulde, and Councilor Chang had been conducting inspections and evaluations of World Dragons, with Jake Long their final one. They traveled from Dragon Island to New York to surprise him.

Jake realized it was Halloween and and so decided to throw a party, inviting both mortals and magical creatures to his grandfather's shop. Fu Dog told Jake it was a bad idea, because the Councilors were looking for him and he was late for dragon training.

The three Councilors saw an animal guardian and a cyclops leaving the party after the Topping Truck failed to arrive. When the Topping Truck finally arrived, the Councilors were sprayed with butterscotch and slobbered by a unicorn.

The Councilors punished Jake for partying and took his dragon chi away. While the Councilors were leaving, they were ambushed by the Huntsclan. Jake saw the three Councilors taken hostage by the Huntsclan.

Jake saw two Harpies and told them to give them a lift to follow the Huntsclan. The Huntsclan tied up the Councilors in the graveyard. The Councilors were gagged and Huntsgirl prepared to slay her first dragon. She chose Chang. Just as she was about to slay Chang, Jake and the magical creatures made a huge noise which knocked her out. After the Councilors were freed, they attacked and scared away the Huntsclan.

The Dragon Councilors thanked Jake for rescuing them. Chang asked Andam and Kulde if they were considering reinstating the boy, but Andam told her they were not considering, they were doing it. Chang mentioned the boy's lack of discipline, but Kulde insisted they should give him his powers back because Jake saved her from becoming someone's prey.

The Councilors returned the chi back to Jake and they decided to join the party, except for Chang. Jake began to party with everyone, while Fu was dating a poodle.

Back at Jake's house, Haley and Lao Shi, who had gone trick-or-treating earlier, were counting to see how much candy they got. Haley knocked the ground with her tail and told Lao Shi that it was the door. Haley checked and Lao Shi poured a bunch of candy in her candy bag. Haley returned and it showed she had 107 candies.

Trivia[]

  • Among the many magical guests invited, there are two elf girls who look like teenage versions of Inga and Uta, caterers from "Jake Takes the Cake."
  • Two characters, Ghost Boy #1 and #2, look a lot like Huntsboys #88 and #89. However it is unconfirmed that it is actually them.
  • Basically, the Dragon Council revealed themselves in front of Jake's classmates who attended the party. But everyone thought their powers was a trick.
  • Many magical creatures and Jake's classmates appear.
  • Rose getting knocked unconscious kept her from seeing Jake coming to the rescue of the elders.
  • This is the second time we see the staff of the Huntsclan transforming into other weapons or forms. The first was in "The Ski Trip" when Huntsgirl's staff turned into a snowboard.
  • According to Fu Dog, his friendship with Grandpa is 'pretty deep that they tell each other everything' but this is before he gets distracted by the poodle.
  • Fu Dog tells Jake he had to go to obedience school for throwing a party when Grandpa was in Hawaii, yet in "Fu and Tell" he says he has never gone to a school before.
    • Coincidentally, Grandpa, Jake, Trixie, Spud and Fu Dog went to Hawaii in the Lilo & Stitch: The Series episode "Morpholomew".
  • Courtney's hair is frequently miscolored black, but is the night for costuming.
  • Whenever Haley and Grandpa are seen walking the streets, classmates attending Jake's party are also seen in the background.
  • Fu Dog's wears a tuxedo that Big Boi, a rapper, wore in the his "I Like the Way You Move" video.
  • Trixie is wearing a similar inflatable vinyl suit much like Missy Elliot, another rapper, did for her music video, "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)".
  • Mermaids seem to be associated with higher math. In this episode, the mermaids hang with the math club members. In "Eye of the Beholder", Lutia designed the pyramids.

Notes[]

  • This is the nineteenth episode.
  • The events in this episode precede those in "Hong Kong Nights" as Chang is still a member of the Dragon Council.
  • Ingrid Third from Fillmore! makes a cameo.
  • There are two unnamed Middleton Cheerleaders, specifically mentioned as cheerleaders and not just girls in costume, from Kim Possible.
    • Considering Jake's age, they would have to be from Middleton Middle School, perhaps sharing the same uniform as the High School.
      • Possible – no pun intended – since in the Kim Possible Season 4 episode Trading Faces, it is confirmed the school system is "Middleton Unified."
